About Beligator

What is Beligator?

Beligator is an investment research service. It scores stocks, ETFs, mutual funds and crypto on one 0–100 scale, explains each score in plain English, and publishes a monthly track record of how its top-rated picks performed.

Who is it for?

Self-directed investors who choose their own investments, especially people who hold more than one type of asset and want one place to research them.

Is this financial advice?

No. Beligator provides research scores and data to help you make your own decisions. It doesn’t know your goals, timeline or tax situation, so it can’t tell you what’s right for you.

When does Beligator launch?

We’re planning to launch in July 2027. Waitlist members get early access and founding-member pricing first.

Can I buy investments through Beligator?

No. Beligator links you to brokerages and exchanges where an asset trades, and you buy through your own account there.

Scores and methodology

How is a score calculated?

Every eligible asset in a class is scored on several factors, such as momentum, quality, cost or stability. Each factor is ranked against peers, then combined with published weights into one 0–100 score. See the full methodology.

What do the score ranges mean?

75–100 is Top rated, 60–74 Favorable, 45–59 Neutral and 0–44 Weak. A high score means an asset is strong relative to its board right now. It isn’t a guarantee.

Can I compare a stock’s score with a crypto score?

Not directly. Scores rank assets against others on the same board. To weigh assets across types, compare their returns, risk and cost side by side, which the Compare tool does for up to 10 assets.

Why would an asset be “Not rated”?

It didn’t pass our eligibility rules, for example too little trading, a pending delisting, or a security flag on a crypto token. The reason is shown next to it, and it’s scored again once the issue clears.

What does “provisional” mean?

The asset has under 3 years of price history, so its score is less reliable. We show it with a label and pull it slightly toward neutral.

How often do scores update?

Stock, ETF and crypto scores update throughout the day as prices and news come in. Mutual fund scores update once a day, after funds report their prices.

Can companies pay to be ranked higher?

No. Nobody can pay to change a score or its place on a board. If we ever earn referral fees from brokerages or exchanges, we’ll disclose it, and it won’t affect any score.

How do I know the scores work?

Every month we publish how the top-rated picks did compared with the board average, including the months they didn’t win. The first results publish the month we launch.

Data

Where does the data come from?

Licensed market data providers, public SEC filings, on-chain data for crypto, and a licensed news wire. Each provider will be named on the How it works page at launch.

Are prices real-time?

On the Free plan, prices can be delayed up to 15 minutes. Pro shows real-time prices where our data licenses allow. Every price is labeled real-time or delayed.

Pricing and billing

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free includes the top picks and top 5 ranks on every board, plain-English reasons, the full track record and alerts for 3 assets.

How much is Pro?

$29 a month, or $278 a year (about $23 a month). Pro will include a 14-day free trial. Compare plans.

What is founding-member pricing?

A discounted Pro price for people who join the waitlist before launch. We’ll share the details by email before subscriptions open.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel in your account settings and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Do I need to connect my brokerage account?

Is there a mobile app?
